FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions About Your Stay at ArlBerglife in Pettneu am Arlberg.

Here you will find all important information about your stay at ArlBerglife Holiday Resort in Pettneu am Arlberg, just a few minutes from St. Anton am Arlberg. Whether you are planning a winter holiday, summer holiday, family stay, holiday with your dog, or need booking information, we have answered the most frequently asked questions for you.

Winter Holiday at the Arlberg.

  • How do I get to the ski area?

The free ski bus takes you comfortably and quickly to the Arlberg ski area in St. Anton am Arlberg. The bus stop Pettneu Garnen (line 7) is located only about 3 minutes’ walk from our resort. During the highwinter season, the ski bus runs every 15 minutes in the morning. The bus stops in St. Anton at both the Galzig / Rendl cable cars and the Nassereinbahn (Terminal West & East). The travel time to the first stop, Terminal East Nassereinbahn, is approximately 10 minutes, while the second stop, Terminal West Galzig and Rendlbahn, takes about 13 minutes. Until mid-December and again from mid-April onwards, the ski bus operates once per hour only.

Guests travelling to Lech and Zürs can take bus line 760 from St. Anton. However, many guests prefer to ski there directly, as the entire Ski Arlberg area is fully connected.

The last ski bus back to Pettneu leaves at around 6:30 pm.

After that, regular public buses and the night bus are available at an additional charge.

  • Where can I buy my ski pass?

You can purchase your ski pass directly at our reception desk. Payment is possible by credit card or cash. A €5 deposit for the ski pass card is required and must be paid in cash.

  • Where can I store my ski equipment?

As a guest of ArlBerglife, you receive access to a complimentary ski depot at the lift stations. Skis, ski boots, and snowboards can be stored free of charge with our partner Sport Alber, directly at the lift station. You can choose between the locations at the Galzigbahn or the Nassereinbahn.

In addition, we also offer a large ski storage room within the resort.

  • Where is the best place to rent ski equipment?

We recommend renting your equipment from Sport Alber in St. Anton am Arlberg or Sport Matt in Pettneu.

  • What winter activities are available besides skiing?

Besides skiing and snowboarding, the region offers a wide range of winter activities. You can enjoy winter hiking, snowshoe hiking on scenic trails, cross-country skiing on perfectly prepared tracks, or family-friendly tobogganing. For guests looking for more adventure, guided winter tours and beautiful nature experiences start right outside the resort.

  • Are there special winter activities for children?

In winter, Pettneu becomes a small paradise for children. Right outside the door, countless classic winter activities await, creating unforgettable holiday memories. Whether building snowmen, having snowball fights, sledding, or making tracks in the fresh snow, there is something new to discover every day. Children can make snow angels, build snow forts, and enjoy the magical winter landscape. Nearby beginner slopes and practice areas are also ideal for first experiences in the snow.

Summer Holiday at the Arlberg.

  • What summer activities are available?

The region offers a wide variety of activities during summer. You can enjoy hiking, mountain biking, climbing, trail running, Nordic walking, and yoga. Families love the guided alpine hut hikes as well as nature and adventure programs. Guided hikes are included free of charge with the St. Anton Premium Guest Card.

  • What is the Premium Guest Card and what are the benefits?

With the Premium Guest Card, you benefit from numerous complimentary services and discounts. These include free mountain lifts, guided hikes, swimming facilities, leisure activities, museum visits, and children’s programme and much more.

The card is valid throughout your stay and allows you to explore the entire region comfortably. For guests staying in our studios, apartments, and lodges, the card is included free of charge from June to September. Guests staying at the campsite can purchase the card for a small additional fee.

  • Are there special summer offers or packages?

Yes, we offer early booking discounts, long-stay discounts, family packages, and attractive summer deals. All offers are available only for direct bookings via our website.

  • What activities are available for children in summer?

In summer, children can enjoy a true outdoor adventure around Pettneu. The meadows, forests, and mountains surrounding our resort provide plenty of space to play and explore. Whether hiking with the whole family, taking easy walks, or discovering adventure trails, every day brings something new. Young cycling fans will also love the area, which is perfect for bike rides through the beautiful alpine landscape. Children can collect stones by the stream, watch animals on the alpine pastures, and enjoy nature up close.

  • Which mountain lifts can I use in summer?

With the Premium Guest Card, you can use the regional mountain lifts free of charge. This gives you easy access to hiking trails, peaks, panoramic viewpoints, and bike trails. The following lifts are typically open during summer: Galzigbahn, Vallugabahn, Gampenbahn, Kapallbahn, and Rendlbahn. Opening times may vary.

  • Are there services for bicycles or mountain bikes?

Yes, the region offers bike rentals, guided tours, and secure storage facilities.

Booking Information.

  • Can I bring my dog?

Yes, ArlBerglife is a dog-friendly holiday resort. There are wide meadows, shaded walking paths, and clear mountain streams directly outside the accommodation. Please let us know when booking if you are travelling with your dog.

  • Where can I book and get the best offers and packages?

You can book your studio, lodge, or apartment directly through our online booking system on the ArlBerglife website. Direct booking usually offers the best available price, as no agency fees apply. You also automatically benefit from our exclusive offers and packages.

  • Can I book accommodation with or without breakfast?

Yes, you can book your stay with or without breakfast. Breakfast can also be added for selected days only. Alternatively, we offer a bread service. Fresh bread can be conveniently ordered via our app by 8:00 pm the day before and collected from 7:00 am.

  • How can I cancel my booking?

A free cancellation is possible up to 60 days before arrival.

In this case, we reserve the right to retain a processing fee of €20 from the deposit.

If the deposit was paid by credit card, the transaction fee charged by the card provider may also be retained.

Alternatively, the deposit can be converted into a voucher or the booking can be moved to another available date.

  • What are the cancellation fees after 60 days?

For cancellations made between 60 and 14 days before arrival, 50% of the total package price will be charged.

For cancellations made within 14 days before arrival, 90% of the total package price will be charged.

In case of no-show, delayed arrival, or early departure, 100% of the total booking amount will be charged.

  • How does payment work?

A deposit of 50% to 100% of the total package price is required to guarantee your booking, depending on the booking date.

The remaining balance must be transferred no later than 5 days before arrival.

Payment is possible via bank transfer or online credit card payment link, plus a 3% service fee.

  • When is check-in and check-out?

Check-in is possible from 3:00 pm.

Check-out is until 9:30 am.

  • Are parking spaces available?

Yes, free parking spaces for normal cars up to 5 metres in length are available. Parking for larger vehicles or trailers is available on request.

  • Which payment methods are accepted?

We accept cash, debit card, Visa, Mastercard, and bank transfer.

  • Should I take out travel insurance?

Yes, we highly recommend taking out travel cancellation and interruption insurance. This protects you financially in case of illness, accidents, or other unforeseen events.
